Born in Tokyo, Japan.  Father, a member of the U.S. Armed Forces; mother, a Japanese National.  Moved to US. at 2 years of age. Married to Wayne Crosslin, a photographer with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. One daughter, Clare, born in 1990. Since 1983, has resided in the Shaw Neighborhood on the City of St. Louis' Near Southside.
